Croft Court was developed in partnership with MWHA. Having acquired the brownfield town centre site (Former Welshpool Social Club), MWP obtained planning permission and assisted MWHA in securing funding through the Welsh Governments Innovative Housing Programme.

Being appointed on a Design & Build basis, MWP sourced a truly local supply chain, with 90% of labour located within a 30 miles radius. The construction method, which followed Passivhaus principles, was a highly insulted timber frame – which achieved an air test result of 1.7 ACH @ 50 PA. Annual monitoring of energy performance indicates the flats running costs are far below the average for MWHA Housing Stock.
