MWP were the main contractor, working on a traditional build JCT, for the completion and retrofit of 35 No. apartments in the converted, grade II listed, Victorian hospital, on behalf of Barcud Housing Association.
We helped gained listed building consent for replacing 300+ windows, opting for a triple glazed timber units despite some deviation from the original features due to the thermal performance requirements. With further upgrades including ground source heat pumps and mechanical ventilation, these properties are expected to reach EPC A.
To effectively carry-out complex improvements in occupied properties and record / remedy defective work, MWP deployed custom software to capture previous and current installations, feeding back as-built data to the client for future maintenance.
